Fine Art by Claudia Doherty
About the Artist
Claudia is an artist with work in private collections world-wide. She has been painting for over 15 years specializing in oils and acrylics.

Claudia was born in Boston Mass and grew up in New England. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Economics in 1992 and went on to a career in financial services. After the births of her three children, she began to more seriously pursue her love of art. Claudia sought instruction from local artists and art centers, most prominently Eli Cedrone.
She primarily creates landscape and figurative paintings that are both abstract and realistic. She is drawn to moody, earthy tones and subject matter that is both beautiful and bleak. Claudia uses a palette knife to scrape and layer paint to achieve a hard scrabble look of imperfection.
Claudia’s career as an artist continues to rise. She opened a pop-up gallery in Burlington, MA for two months in 2021 with the help of UpNext, has popped up in local shops and West Elm stores and is currently selling at puck and abby in West Concord, MA
Claudia sells online, through exhibitions and by commission. She currently paints from her studio in Newton Corner taking inspiration from the places she has lived including Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Boston and Cape Cod.
